Important notices
These Legal notices are intended to reduce ambiguity about how ComputingPal is offered, what it is not, and how formal requests should be handled. They do not create warranties beyond those stated in the Terms of Use, and they do not waive defenses available under law. If any notice on this page conflicts with the Privacy Policy on a privacy topic, the Privacy Policy controls. If any notice conflicts with the Terms of Use on a contractual topic, the Terms of Use control, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
Educational purpose
ComputingPal provides educational quizzes, practice materials, community discussion, and related learning tools. Content is for learning support only. It is not legal, medical, financial, immigration, employment, or professional advice. It does not replace your school’s, college’s, or awarding body’s assessment rules, policies, or official results. You remain solely responsible for how you use study materials, AI feedback, and peer advice, including compliance with academic integrity rules at your institution.
AI and automated tools
Some features use artificial intelligence or automated processing to generate marks, feedback, detection signals, summaries, or moderation and security aids. AI outputs can be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or inconsistent with an official mark scheme. AI marking and similar outputs are practice aids, not official grades, predicted results, or institutional decisions. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for academic, employment, or regulatory decisions. Additional detail appears in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Intellectual property and brand
ComputingPal names, logos, visual identity, and site design are protected by intellectual property laws. Do not copy them, use them as your own mark, or imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation without prior written permission. Software, quizzes, curriculum structures, and original materials made available through ComputingPal are owned by ComputingPal or its licensors. Access through the product does not transfer ownership. Users retain rights to content they submit, subject to the licenses and rules in the Terms of Use. Public posts may be visible to others and are not confidential.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material on ComputingPal infringes your copyright, email hi@computingpal.com and identify the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, the material and its location on the service, your name and contact details, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law, a statement under penalty of perjury where applicable that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and, where appropriate, notify the user who posted it. Repeat infringers may lose access.
Exam papers, mark schemes, textbooks, and similar materials may be owned by awarding bodies or publishers. ComputingPal does not claim ownership of third-party exam materials merely by hosting practice workflows. Unauthorized redistribution of third-party exam materials by users is prohibited.
Third-party services and materials
Other companies may help us run ComputingPal, as described in the Privacy Policy. Links to schools, documentation sites, or other third parties are for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or security.
Security research
Responsible disclosure of genuine security vulnerabilities is welcome through hi@computingpal.com. Include enough detail to reproduce the issue. Do not attempt destructive testing, denial-of-service attacks, social engineering of users, access to private user data, or exploitation beyond what is necessary to demonstrate a vulnerability. Unauthorized access remains prohibited by the Terms of Use and applicable law.
Law-enforcement and legal process
We may respond to valid legal process, court orders, emergency disclosure requests, and similar lawful demands as described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Formal legal correspondence should be emailed to hi@computingpal.com with a clear subject line and sufficient identifying information. We may notify affected users of requests where permitted and not prohibited by law or court order. We may object to overbroad or improper requests.
Paid plans and purchases
Paid subscriptions, marking credits, top-ups, and similar commercial features are optional. Fees are described at checkout or in the product when an offer is available. All amounts paid to ComputingPal are non-refundable, including for paid tiers such as Pro and Pro+, unused allowances, early cancellation, or loss of access after a Terms violation. Paying for access does not permit account sharing or other conduct prohibited in the Terms of Use. Full billing, renewal, and refund rules are in the Fees, subscriptions, and commercial features section of the Terms.
Availability
We aim to keep ComputingPal available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Maintenance, outages, bugs, network failures, cyber incidents, and events beyond reasonable control may affect availability. Schedules, features, and content may change without creating a claim for damages except as required by mandatory law or expressly agreed in writing.
No professional advice
Nothing on ComputingPal creates an attorney-client, doctor-patient, fiduciary, or similar professional relationship. Community replies, AI outputs, and quiz explanations are informal educational content. For decisions with legal, medical, financial, or institutional consequences, consult a qualified professional or your institution.
Jurisdiction and consumer rights
Governing law and dispute provisions appear in the Terms of Use. Mandatory consumer, privacy, and local protections that cannot be waived continue to apply where required by law. Nothing on this page is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, or for fraud.
Formal requests
For formal legal correspondence, privacy rights requests, copyright notices, or similar inquiries, email hi@computingpal.com with a clear subject line, your name and a working reply email address, the ComputingPal account email if relevant, enough context for us to verify identity and locate records, and any deadline or legal authority you rely on. Prefer Contact for ordinary product questions. We may need time to verify requesters before disclosing account data.

We may update this Legal page as company details, policies, or product features change. The policy refresh date above will change when material updates are published. Continued use of ComputingPal after updates constitutes acknowledgment of the revised notices to the extent permitted by law. Related documents: Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Community Guidelines.
